Botanica Bird’s International Women’s Day (IWD) bouquet was created in support of our 2021 IWD fundraiser for local charity, Dress For Success. The special bouquet incorporated flowers and foliage of purple, white, green and pops of yellow as a salute to the Women’s Suffragette colours.
We were inspired by the women who went before us, making fashion a political statement. The colour purple represented dignity and loyalty to the feminist cause. While white represented purity, yellow represented hope and green for new life.
On International Women’s Day 2021, and during the preceding days, Botanica Bird delivered these inspiration bouquets to the people within the Newcastle City Council region, sending messages of gratitude and feminist love.
A defining element of Botanica Bird’s ethos is community collaboration. This IWD bouquet is a representation of our ethos as well as our passion for supporting women within the Newcastle community.
We believe that by working together within the community we can inspire each other, look out for one another, and encourage the confidence to be heard. The contribution of florals not only brightens a room, it adds depth and sentiment to an important cause. Our flowers add volume.
